"body": "Superluminal charges the measured render time of each finished frame. Queue time, startup, downloads, failed tasks, and canceled tasks add no charge.\r\n\r\nFrames that finish before a cancellation remain billed.\r\n\r\n## Choose capacity in GPUs and nodes\r\n\r\nThe capacity control selects the total GPU count. It also lets you place one, two, or three GPUs on each node.\r\n\r\nThe control shows the current rate for the selected GPU count. More GPUs can finish independent frames sooner, but the per-GPU rate also rises.\r\n\r\n<!--visual:0-->\r\n\r\nThe [live rate table](https://api.superlumin.al/api/render/pricing/default) supplies current prices, and the [dated rate dataset](/seo/evidence/pricing-reference-2026-08-06.json) records the curve below.\r\n\r\n<!--visual:1-->\r\n\r\nThe [billing guide](/docs/web-ui/billing#render-capacity) explains the same control in the web app. The [calculator](/pricing/calculator) lets you test any count from one to 30 nodes.\r\n\r\n## Calculate one frame charge\r\n\r\nEach finished frame adds this charge:\r\n\r\n$$\r\n\\text{frame charge}=\\frac{\\text{render seconds}}{3600}\\times\\text{GPUs on the node}\\times\\text{rate per GPU-hour}\r\n$$\r\n\r\nThe rate comes from the total GPU capacity active for your organization. Billing uses the successful frame runtime measured on the farm.\r\n\r\n<!--visual:2-->\r\n\r\nThe job page updates the charge as frames finish. See [job details](/docs/web-ui/job-details#job-and-scene-details) for the live cost and compute fields.\r\n\r\n## Measured prices at three capacities\r\n\r\nThe benchmark rendered four scenes at five, ten, and 30 selected nodes. These are the exact job charges shown by Superluminal.\r\n\r\n<!--visual:3-->\r\n\r\n| Scene | 5 nodes | 10 nodes | 30 nodes |\r\n|---|---:|---:|---:|\r\n| ![](/seo/benchmarks/thumb-classroom.jpg) Classroom, 145 Cycles frames | $1.10 | $1.35 | $1.90 |\r\n| ![](/seo/benchmarks/thumb-junkshop.jpg) Junk Shop, 96 Cycles frames | $0.48 | $0.64 | $1.21 |\r\n| ![](/seo/benchmarks/thumb-monster.jpg) Monster Under the Bed, 96 Cycles frames | $0.50 | $0.62 | $0.98 |\r\n| ![](/seo/benchmarks/thumb-fox.jpg) Fox, 50 EEVEE frames | $0.14 | $0.33 | $0.31 |\r\n| **Four-scene total** | **$2.22** | **$2.94** | **$4.40** |\r\n\r\nFive nodes cost the least for every scene. Thirty nodes had the shortest render pipeline on the three Cycles scenes, and ten nodes were fastest on the Fox scene.\r\n\r\nIn the [render farm benchmark](/compare/blender-render-farms), no tested plan charged less than Superluminal on any scene.\r\n\r\n## Estimate your animation\r\n\r\nRender one representative frame on your machine. Enter its time, your hardware, and the frame count in the [Blender render cost calculator](/pricing/calculator).\r\n\r\nThe estimate uses the selected node count and the same public rate table as the capacity control. Your job page remains the source for the final charge.",
