Buyer Terms

These Buyer Terms apply to purchases you make on Sulu Market. They supplement the Sulu Market Terms of Service. If there is a conflict, these Buyer Terms control for buyer-specific issues.

1. Purchases are licenses, not ownership

When you buy a product on Sulu Market, you are purchasing a license to use the product under the license type selected at checkout and/or included with the product. You do not acquire ownership of the product or its intellectual property unless explicitly stated.

2. Account required; checkout only

You must have an account and use our checkout to purchase products. Purchases made outside our checkout are not eligible for support or refunds through the Service.

3. Pricing, currency, and taxes

• Currency: Prices are displayed and charged in USD unless otherwise stated.
• Taxes: Applicable taxes (such as VAT/GST/sales tax) may be added at checkout.
• Discounts: Creators may offer public sale discounts or coupon codes. If both apply to a purchase, only the larger discount is used — they do not combine. Discounts are set by Creators and may be withdrawn or modified at any time.

4. Delivery and downloads

Digital products are delivered via your account after successful payment.

Download responsibility: We recommend you download and back up your purchases. We do not guarantee indefinite availability of any product, especially if a listing is removed, a Creator closes their account, or legal restrictions require takedown.

5. License types (summary)

Our marketplace supports license types such as:

• Commercial (Creator's proprietary terms)
• GPL (open-source, copyleft)
• MIT (open-source, permissive)
• CC-BY
• CC0
• Editorial (editorial use only)
• Custom license text

The Creator controls the license terms and is responsible for accuracy. You are responsible for understanding and complying with the license you select.

6. Updates and support

Creators may provide updates. If updates are included with your purchase, you can download updated versions from your account.

Support is generally provided by the Creator. You can also contact Sulu Market support at hello@su.lu for marketplace issues (payments, access, policy concerns).

7. Reviews and ratings

If reviews/ratings are available:

• You may only post reviews for products you purchased through your account.
• Reviews must be truthful and not misleading.
• Do not include private information or illegal content in reviews.

We may remove reviews that violate our policies.

8. Refunds and disputes

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. If a refund is issued, access to the product may be revoked.

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute through your bank/payment provider, we may suspend support/refund processing for the same transaction and may restrict your ability to make future purchases.

9. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

• redistribute or resell products except as permitted by the license,
• attempt to bypass checkout or platform fees,
• upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the Service, or
• harass Creators or other users.
